ABOUT US


The Burkburnett Police Department was founded in 1923 and recently celebrated its Centennial Anniversary. The Burkburnett Police Department is an innovative police agency that strives to serve all who live and visit our community.

The Burkburnett Police Department's mission is "To reduce, disrupt, and prevent crime and disorder, allowing for the preservation of peace through proactive, innovative, and ethical police services."

To be successful in our mission, the Burkburnett Police Department has 19 sworn full-time peace officers. The department currently consists of a Chief of Police, one Captain, one Lieutenant, five Sergeants, eight patrol officers, and three detectives. The department also has a Communications Division and provides Animal Services. 

In 2022 The department received Accredited status through the Texas Police Chief's Association Foundation. Please contact us if you have questions or need further information.
